I have three paintings in the Wildlife Exhibit at the Frisch Auf Valley Country Club in La Grange August 12 through September 12. La Grange is a small town in the Texas Hill Country whose recent history includes the legend of the Chicken Ranch, a brothel brought down by Marvin Zindler at KTRK-TV and made famous by a stage play, movie and the lyrics of a popular song.
Today La Grange is popular for its bike routes and beauty including the Colorado River and majestic oak trees. La Grange is one of the few small Texas towns not killed by an interstate expressway or bypass. The downtown courthouse square is still thriving with business and activity.
