When I was a teenager, Crockett had the closest movie theater, The Ritz. We thought it such a treat, and our parents knew we were perfectly safe. Times have changed. When I pulled over into a small parking lot to take this picture, I realized that something strange was happening. Peripherally I could see several people and piles of stuff. I wondered why anybody would be having a fire sale at 9:00 pm in a parking lot across from The Ritz when there were only a few teens hanging around. Flash! I realized that I'd better drive on quickly. Several young people on the other side of a van in the parking lot seemed agitated by my presence (not in photo). What was in the works? Who could tell? Who knows? Something out of the ordinary was under way. The Ritz and Crockett downtown nightlife has changed. I'm glad I'm not a teenager today.
